We said goodbye to Manuel today. He left for Queretero where he had an appointment with a job agency, and then on to Morelia where his brother lives. It took the reality of having no bed available at the Casa because a group was coming and a lot of coaching to get him on his way, but he seemed ready to restart his life by the time he left.
We sent him off with a bag to carry his few belongings in, a loan of 1000 pesos, and a bit of food we gathered together for his trip. He left with animo and ganas de trabajar. Hopefully he will find work soon. In any case, the air outside the city will be better for him. Pollution is quite bad this time of year and his lungs were bothering him. He said he will call to "reportarme". I hope he is ok. The Casa won't quite be the same tomorrow without him.
Suerte, Manuel.
