Final Countdown

Two days and counting till we fly off into the Mexican sunset. The President's State of the Union speech might have been enough to drive me out of the country entirely if I weren't already on my way. I'll find plenty of problems with government in my new home, I'm sure, but it is hard leaving the work of changing U.S. policy, when so much seems at stake. Of course I'd be lying if I didn't admit it will also be a bit of a relief to breathe the air beyond Washington for a while...even if it's hardly breathable air!
