Updates

I've been negligent this week so some quick updates...

1. Manuel got a job in Morelia, where he thinks his brother is, and left the Casa. Haven't heard from him in a week and are hoping that is good news. He should have received his first paycheck at the end of the month.
2. Spring has fully sprung in Mexico - the jacarandas (remember those purple trees!) are in bloom and it's officially hot during the day.
3. I got groped on the Metrobus this week. My reaction time must be improving though because this time I managed to smack the guy's hand off my rear and call him a "cabron" loud enough for the crowded bus to hear.
4. The Casa is getting a new website! We have a wonderful volunteer who fell out of the sky and is redoing our site for us. He's an Iraqi born New Yorker, who has spent the last 5 years travelling around the world doing photography (and websites). I'll let you know when the new site is up!

That's about it for now. Better entries to come.

Good for Manuel, even if I never get to meet him.

I see Bec is whining about the weather again. What a baby. Today, the sun is out and the temperature is in the 40's. I wish I was outside. It would be nice to see some flowers, though.

I have nothing interesting to contribute to the actual topic. Sorry.
